Introduction
Understand what Diem does today, where each part of the experience lives, and how the supported workflows connect.
What Diem is today
Diem is a set of connected tools for sellers who start conversations on Instagram. You create an offer in the seller app, connect it to a keyword or place it on your public Link Page, and send an interested buyer to a separate Diem checkout.
Diem does not complete a purchase inside Instagram. Instagram is the discovery and messaging channel; payment, confirmation, and delivery happen in a browser.
Where each part of Diem lives
| Surface | What you use it for |
|---|---|
| Seller app | Sign in, connect Instagram, create listings and keywords, manage the Link Page, view sales, and manage your workspace. |
| Public Link Page | Show a seller profile, social links, manual links, and Diem listings to anyone with the page URL. |
| Buyer checkout | Review an offer, enter buyer details, pay when required, and receive a confirmation or content access. |
| Connected providers | Supply imported event inventory and receive fulfillment updates when the integration supports them. |
A manual link on a Link Page goes directly to its destination. A Diem listing opens the separate checkout at pay.startdiem.com.

Before you start
Use an email you control
Diem seller sign-in uses a magic link sent to your email. Diem does not use a ticket-provider password as your account password.
Prepare the right Instagram account
Have access to the Professional or Creator account that will publish the post and receive messages.
Choose a simple first offer
Begin with a free, non-sensitive manual link while you learn the workflow. Add paid or gated delivery only after Stripe, checkout, recovery, and fulfillment tests pass for that offer type.
Test as a buyer
Use a separate Instagram account and buyer email. Confirm the public reply, DM, browser handoff, confirmation, later magic-link access, and seller-side reporting.
